The only reason I went with the high flow snorkle was to keep noise down. It's a little quieter than without any snorkle.

 

I think the Muzzy pipe pretty much overpowers any induction noises. Is there a concern with removing the lid completely? The Dynojet lists that as a solution. I like the idea of the snorkle to keep water out that might just splash in at a water crossing. But since the airbox of course has a drain, maybe it doesn't matter, unless the drain get plugged wth a leaf, a rock or clay.
