I dont know how anyone even rides a stock KLX250s.... thinking of riding my stock bike makes me feel like throwing up

It is seriously a choked up 49cc scooter feeling thing when stock, but to each his own.

Default Ego anybody

hi guys
all the correspondence about mods noted
BUT
you r all talking about a carb version
i am running an efi version, so let's take it as read that I am going to change to a 13T front and yes a 28T rear.
if I just change snorkel and header and muffler/end pipe can the efi automatically adjust for best performance?
i do not think this has been addressed before?
nany thanks
phil

Put the O2 eliminator in, makes the EFi run richer to suit the removed or larger snorkel. The taking out the clutch switch (rev limiter) made a noticeable difference too.

I bet I pull as fast or faster than any piped/jetted bike. Gear changing is an effective way to get more. It isn't stock any longer. Just because it only cost $10 doesn't make it any less effective.

No you dont.... A piped/jetted KLX with your same gearing will eat your bike alive.

You are confusing lower gearing with making more power. Your bike doesnt make any more power or tq than before, its just geared lower.

We have the dynos to prove it, you are most likely 3-5hp down over a jetted/modded bike. 3-5hp is a TON on a bike with only 19 stock....

Im glad you like your lower gearing, but i had to correct this "I am faster than any piped/jetted bike" No....not even.

FAKE NEWS, lol.
I never said a lower geared bike increases hp or tq; that's impossible. I said a lower geared bike with a stock carb may very well move as fast as a rejetted bike with stock gearing.

Let's stay in reality as well.

gearing, jetting, etc. In the end, no one is saying this is a fast bike. If they are, they've never ridden anything else. We're all just trying for a bit more grunt, a little bit.

No you didnt say that....

[QUOTE=Anthony LaGrasta;

I never knew a -1 sprocket change could be so thrilling, lol.

Anyway....maybe i'm being too mean, if he hasnt experienced an uncorked KLX then he just doesnt know how truly anemic feeling a KLX is in stock form compared to some EASY mods... and for the record, my other bike is 150hp/380lbs and does 72 in 1st gear, so I think i have a good handle on what is fast and what isnt..
