Beenie under helmet?
After a long day riding (14+ hours), my forehead is tender and irritated from helmet lining. Been thinking about getting a very thin and lightweight beenie type thing to wear underneath the helmet.
Wondering if anyone else here has or does something similar to guard against tender noggin?

Actually you can go to some shop and get a doo rag, a mini-version of a bandana, made to wrap around your forehead and tie low on the back of your head. They fit well under a helmet and work pretty good. Plus they are relatively inexpensive. I got one at BikeWeek a long time back, used it for years, need a new one. There are special scalp covers made, more expensive and I don't know the name of them. Someone may chime in here with the name, if not go to the ADVrider forum and post your question in the Equipment sub-forum.
A welders cap works also. I'll put one on after I get a haircut to keep my helmet from looking like a cat slept in it. They have a very short bill which I turn to the back... gangster style.
