I've had this helmet for awhile now and figured i'd do the write up.

Fits really well and nice and comfortable around the bottom and the padding is nice too. i enjoy the helmet quite a bit and it has great visibility but my only complaint is that the 'anti-fog' lens is bs. i cannot ride with my visor down because the fogging is terrible on this helmet. i know i can't complain too much for a $40 helmet but the nose gaurd and anti-fog is crap. the 5 cooling vents on it work well tho and feel good on hot days (2 on top, 2 by chin, and 1 in front of mouth).


overall a good helmet for passengers or if you just want a cheap helmet but i need to find something to put on the visor to stop the fogging. i also found the 'optically correct' part is kinda hard to get used to but works alright.

yep AFX is the brand. cheap good helmets i just was really disappointed that i can't put my visor down or i'll fog up and go blind within 2 breaths [:@]

 

i have the AFX-30 helmet and only have fog issues when stopped on cold mornings - nothing cracking it open a little till i get rollign doesn't fix

definately a comfortable helmet - a tad on the noisy side.

i've heard that rain-x anti-fog treatment works well on helmets.

 

i'll try that cuz i don't ALWAYS wanna ride open visor....tho it feels nice.


i actually want the noise, i love the sound of my bike and i'm the kind of person that can't stand not hearing everything around me.

 

i have the same helmet as you...i agree 100% about what you said. The supposed fog shield sucks, but I found it helps when you open all of the vents and breathe through your nose. Then there really is no fog to fog up your shield.


But i was thinking about replacing the shield with a reflective or tinted one? Do any of you have an idea where I might find that b/c i dont think AFX is a very popular brand.
