Default 2009 AFX FX-37DS Dual Sport Helmet

Anyone have one of these?
Just curious to how well they work.
I current wear a KBC Super X-7 Stealth. Very nice helmet but with wearing glasses and goggles that are wider for glasses it is a tight fit in the openening.
Just thought the shield idea would be much better and it's still a nice off-raod helmet as well.
Thanks
DJF

Posted up earlier on here https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=26964
I was looiking for a d/s helmets like this last year!!! At that time the ones you could buy in the u.s. were expensive,(Arai,Simpson) and the ones they sell in europe were expensive by the time you had them shipped here. I would have bought one of these in a heartbeat if they had been out a year ago.

The above link will take you to a YouTube site that discusses the FL-20 Zamp Helmet. I use one and love it. If a true Dual Sport Helmet is what you're looking for... this is it, IMHO. I especially don't like the wind turbulance that the MX helmet bill gives me when I'm speeding along the highway and really don't care for the occassional bug, stone, or stick that gets in my face (and around the goggles), when I have my MX helmet on. The built in sun shield is also a very nice extra. It can be deployed while you're riding. The FL20 is also wide enough to accommodate the glasses (I wear them also), The air stream is superb in my opinion. Price is wee bit over $100 if I remember correctly.

Happy trails,

Big Brown should be delivering my white one today. I'll post pics and first impressions as soon as it gets here!

Hey rod I really like that flip up sunshield on that zamp. I ended up getting a street helmet, and think for most of the riding I do it's perfect. I have wondered how secure those flip-up helmets are. What are your impressions. Do you think it is as safe as a one piece? Thanks Dan
Here's the one I got

I had this same helmet and traded it back in because the angle it made me hold my head. I had a constant neck ache wearing it.

Gerry you must have a funny shaped head. LOL I'm kidding. It fits my funny shaped head just fine. What angle did you have to hold your head? Dan
