Battery reccomendations
#11
The only downside is that if you completely discharge the battery(make dead) it will never hold a charge again! shouldnt be a problem on a bike since the battery ic continuously charging. there could also be circutry to prevent the battery from dropping below a certian point, like a regulator like in R/C........yup i am ramblin!

I am also considering switching to a CV4 or TurnTech battery. They look so good, I was telling to myself there must be some hidden negative facts.
I was worried about reliability, particularly at low temps, but it looks like there are enough positive testimonials now.
So, is it true there is no downside at all?

Since nobody asked, this is what I'm doing...
A local rider I know took these

put them together and made his own 4 cell bike battery. It worked fine all last season on his DR-Z 400
If you want more power, use 8 cells.
At first I bought 4 cells, but then i found this

13.2V 2300 mah, basically the same as my buddy has in his DR-Z
If you look at his ebay store, he has bigger, bike specific batteries as well, at about 1/2 retail price-shipped to your door.
I'll keep you posted.
