Aux Light Wiring
I picked up a set of these a few days ago on eBay. They're pretty darn nice and are every bit as well-made as the 2.5x more expensive ones from Twisted Throttle that I have on my DR650.
I replaced my headlight with a low-beam-only HID kit from DDMTuning. When I flip on the high beam, the headlight goes off. I've wired the aux lights to the high beam wire and they work perfectly, but I would like to be able to keep the headlight on too. What's the best way to do this? I was thinking of jumping from the low beam wire to the high beam wire, but I'm not sure that will do it... I think it will just keep the aux lights on all the time.
Thanks!
Rob

Never done it but I think you have to mess around with the relays/fuses. Best thing is to do is make them stand alone with their own switch... good luck
Can you post day and night pics of the Aux lights on?? Thanks

The aux lights are only 10 watts each, so I'm debating if I need to go the relay route. If I do, it's still not hard. It's a simple relay... one line to ground, one to battery, one to the aux lights, and the last one to the high beam wire as the "trip." I have one in place already for my handwarmers and 12v outlet, except it goes to an ignition source (I forget which one I used).
I'll post pix when they're all done. On my DR650, it's a HUGE difference. It's the only way I can even ride at night. It took a little while to get them aimed just right so I don't get flashed too often by oncoming cars.
