I removed the oem bulb and replaced with a Silverstar and it made a huge difference for less than 30 bucks. Now it is way brighter and I have a wider illumination field. Arminio, take my bike for a ride and see if you still have this issue...

I'm not sure if it's a Japanese thing or not (wife's Civic Owner's Manual is the same) but the OM lists bulbs in wattage not the normal number that you would use at he parts store (like H1, H3, 9003 etc etc etc) What headlight bulb does our bike use? It LOOKS like an H4 but I wanna make sure before I plunk down the money on a bulb I don't need and rip the bike apart...

I have 30 watt Halogens on my bike as auxillary lights. It handles the load fine. The only problem I have had is keeping the glass bezels from breaking from the roost of people in front of me.
If you are planning on doing an HID conversion yourself. A few simple rules I would fortell. 1. Don't skip quality, get a kit thats designed for a motorcycle and not a car (like I did). 2. Expect a comprimse on the low/high beams (if the kit even offers a bi-xenon bulb). 3. Expect problems later on (if they do occur).

One problem I had is that there was a v-shape blind spot in the middle. Found out later, even with the correct bulb, that v-blind is still there. Correction is to adjust the beam angle or shorten the HID bulb lo/hi telescoping travel.
I have a 6k hid kit installed on my bike. It lights up everything! The only downside to it is, I don't have any high beam. But then I don't need high beam cuz it's so bright! Another downside is that, if my low beam fails, I wont have any head light at all. You can get a dual filament hid kit for a little bit more!
