what's wrong with the stock one? put in a brighter bulb if it isn't bright enough. that ufo stuff is fugly imo and anything that resembles it like this one. I'm with Eric on this one. the oem unit looks like it belongs.

Don't know why I didn't add it in that thread!!

I smashed the stock one.......New plastic costs as much as this whole assembly.
Can't ride without replacing it..........the whole front is all crooked..throwing off my balance.

aaah, I see. have you looked into baja designs? they may have something not as futuristic looking as that acerbis or ufo. I just don't like those lights for some reason. I guess on the bike they may not be bad. I'm just a stock kind of guy I guess. I hate the white shroud on the '07, it's worse than the ufo stuff. The green '06 is the nicest in my book.

I have the shroud off and all the metal guts are bent real bad..........Do these after market headlight assemblies go over all that junk?
Can I use my 55w bulb with any of the aftermarkets?
This really sucks man.............................

You take off all the metal junk and replace it with a nice lightweight headlight unit that straps to the forks with rubber bands. If you look at the pic of the headlight I showed you in the other forum about your headlight you will see the rubber bands. Once again if you don't use the light much it's ideal. The aftermarket ones are not as bright as the stock due to a lower rated bulband it may be the case the aim may not be perfect. Mine does have an adjusting screw for headlight aim but mine is a genuine Kawasaki unit. I don't think you can use the 55w in the aftermarket ones I think it would be to hot and melt / damage the plastic.

But if you take off all that "metal Junk" from the front to mount to the forks, then that gets rid of the speedo does it not? Unless you do a bunch of cutting of the bracket.
Anyone got one of those brackets lying around I could have? Or buy?
