I'm about 2 hrs north east of you in the Raleigh area. Below are some links to off road and motocross park areas.

Uwharrie National Forest is about 1-1/2 hrs north near Asheboro. Has about 15 miles of trails with lots of rocks and red mud. It can get crowded on weekends when the jeeps come out to play.

Hatfield and McCoys is about 4 to 5 hrs north in West Virginia. This is well worth the drive but you make it a multi day trip with riding buddies. Several HUNDRED miles of trail in the coal mining hills of W. Va.
