Anyone have a 13T laying around?

Anyone have a 13T laying around?
If anyone has a 13T in the garage and want to sell it give me a pm? I fugured I would check before I ordered one. I want to see how that ratio feels before I spend the money on rear sprocket and chain.

I figured I'd check to see if anyone had one around before I ordered one. I should just get a 48 for the back and new chain but it's hard to justify when I only have 500 miles on the current one.

Definetly need the lower gearing I bit it real bad with the stock gearing on a hill climb at a local pit. I'll be ordering a 48 or 49 I'm just not sure which because I still need the bike to be able to go 60 - 65 on short highway runs to the local trails.

It will still do 60-65 with the lower gearing. You just wouldn't want to run that way for 50 miles or anything.
I went with the 13/45 setup like many others here. That yields a ratio of 3.46, which is right in the middle of what you would get with a 14/48 (3.43) or a 14/49 (3.5). With that setup, my RPMs are just about 1000 higher than my speed. That is to say, at 50mph, I am pulling about 6000rpm, at 60mph, I am running about 7000rpm. At 70mph, it is running about 8000rpm (maybe a little higher).
I ended up deciding to drop back to my 14/45 setup because I unfortunately do a lot more highway than I do dirt. When I know that I am going to be on dirt for a while (like this weekend at Apalachicola), I throw the 13 back on the front. Now that Kawi Wawi has taught us all how to break a chain with vice grip and an hex wrench, it's no big deal to swap the front sprocket.
Anyway, good luck with your decision.

You know I'm glad we revisited this, I got a 13 for my bike in the beginning, but I had to get the local machine shop make a spacer for it because it didn't have a shoulder on it. Has anyone found a replacement that has the spacer built in, and perhaps even with the noise and vibration dampener? Anyone? Part numbers? My parts guy still has a puzzled look when I ask for parts for the bike.[:@]

I want to go with a 14-48 set up, anybody know off hand what length chain I would need. Also, for my mountain bike I buy a chain and then shorten it a few links as needed, can this be done with motorcycle chains with the proper tool or do you have to buy it in that length???
I can get deals on Sunline products but the chain only comes in a 120 length, and what does the 520mean? SL-1 O-Ring Chain 520 /120 Links. http://www.sunlineracing.com/product...p;type=product
I have had the bike since April and no mod's, now that I have somewhat learned how to ride the bike it is time to make some changes, mine is still completely stock. I am afraid to do anything but ride it, hopefully it will come with time. I honestly have to say I know nothing about motorcycles and most of what you guys say goes right over my head. I started writting some info down and bringing it to a shop and they are happy to help me get started on juicing this thing up a little.
Although I do not say much or have much input, thanks guys for everything you post. I am sure it will make sense to me soon.

I don't know about shortening a chain because I have never done it. But the 520 is the width. Most chains and sprockets for motorcyclescome in 520, 525, or 530 widths. You need to stick to a 520 for the weight savings over the wider heaver chains. You can't interchange different size chains and sprockets.
