Another Suspension Adjustment Link for Us Big Guys
I know that there has been a lot of info posted about adjusting the suspension of the KLX. At the risk of beating a dead horse, though, I just noticed on the Advrider forum a great series of posts with pics from Nobiman. He instructs ntloser, a bigger guy like me, on how to adjust the front and rear suspension.
I found it helpful. I suggest any other big boys should take a look.

Well if its a dead horse I havent seen it. At 230 I know the little klx suspension need adjusting. I was actually going to post a question about Sag and the right amount there should be once you sit on the bike. Once that is dialed in then you adjust things like compression and rebound.
Got my service manual last night and looked thru it. There really is nothing in there about setting up the suspension. So in the future if I ask suspension questions please forgive.
Ok just read the post and there really isnt much there. Nothing about sag and what the correct measurement is. Also his suggestion to crank that puppy down untill only a 1/4 inch of threads shows dont say much. I'm 230 so not as big as the person he is talking to but big enough so I need to adjust the suspension. Since he suggested 1/4 inch of threads for someonce close to 300lbs what about us 220-230 pound guys. What the spring tension set to then. Inquiring minds want to know.

The PlanetKLX site is pretty good - mostly KLX300 specific, but a lot applies to the KLX250S also. Here are their sag tips:

Yep, just discoved that site by doing a search on this forum for suspensions. Not sure adjusting will help me though. I flucuate between 220-230 so no matter what I try the suspension is to soft for my weight. Aww well maybe someday I will resrping it but by the time your done I'm sure it will cost 600 bucks [:'(]

I should be receiving a protype part this week. A set of raising links for the KLX.
The concept is that they add mechanical advantage to the spring / shock thereby making the rear suspension a bit more suited for us "Security Squad Sized Squids".
Once they get in, I'll let y'all know how they work.
