Default Link to that Big Luggage Rack that Bolts to the Frame not the Subframe

I need to get some sort of luggage rack ordered ..... I remember seeing one on here that bolted up around the passenger footpegs and then a little higher up on the frame .... not the best looking rack but very functional and big .....I want it.

Links suggestions with pics ..... my cut down klx has no subframe left ...mostly.

I can see where it bolts where the passenger pegs are, where else does it mount?

Middle rung on the top of the rear fender & possibly the rear seat mounts?

Just wondering if the bulk of the load is not still being supported by the sub frame?

According to the guy who makes those racks, the runners that bolt to the passenger peg mounts are spring in such a way the that they pull up on the subframe. He said he can haul 'the hindquarters of a deer' with it.

I'd still like to see the rack attach at the seat bolts as well. I know for a fact that bridging the seat bolts to that ladder peace(tool bag mount) on the rear subframe really strenghtens that entire area.

mmmm Interesting, I guess that would help.
So if its pulling up with say a force of 20lbs, then there should be no weight on the sub-frame for loads up to that weight?
If it works, that is qiute clever.
Still need to be careful if travelling on dirt or bumpy roads.
Momentum and all that.

Oh, is this true? That part of my subframe is gone.

Without calling the mfg .... anyone know the mounting points?

Cool

Just looked at their site...XT350 and KLX650 examples give some clue. What's up with your subframe? Did you get a Sawzall for Xmas? Have a good trip, man !!
