What ever you get i would highly recommending getting the RAM mount...

http://www.ram-mount.com/

I have a handlebar mount on both bikes and a suction cup for the windshield of my truck. I can easily switch between all 3. Great system

Yep, use the RAM mount on the roadie, the suction cup cradle in the car and the above set up on the KLX.
Simply clip in the Zumo and zoom.............

I just got a Etrex vista hcx. ( the best etrex model) I love it.
Good news, I just ordered one.
I think I need the 2008 Topo Maps just to get a little better resoultion. I have both Road and Topo on the Nuvi500 it is just too big for the dirt bike. I'll leave it in the Car or the F800GS.

I liked the Vista HCx for Size and tracking (soemthing the Nuvi 500 did not have).

I downloaded the 2010.20 city navigator road maps file from here:
http://www.gpsunderground.com/forums...ad.php?t=17478

Im sure there is topo stuff on there somewhere, but the topo stuff doesnt do road routing, so ill just keep the road maps in mine.

Just have the put it on a 2gb microsd card then put it in and it works great. I just paid 200$ for the gps im not paying another 100$ for maps that should come with it.

I have the zumo 450- great gps. I wish I has the 550 it comes with a bike and car mount. the 450 you had to buy the car mount. The 55o also has xm weather. could be helpful. The zumos would with gloves but there is also buttons on the side. I also love the large screen. Its one of the biggest.
I got the usa topo maps as an extra, not cheap but I'm surprised how good they are. Really helps when exploring new trails.

For me I have has the best luck with garmin. (3 rd one) .
