Default Another 2 cheap to be true for a chain ?

I have been doing some general maintenance on my bike. I changed the front sprocket to a 13T so took off the back wheel and greased it up and things like that. The chain is a o ring chain but looks like it had not been creased in a while (previous owner) and most likely is at the end of its life. After decreasing it looks better but, movement is still eh so its currently soaking in some chain lube to see if it will loosen up a bit.
I came across this
https://www.d2moto.com/products/2006...ring-chain-red

From the research I have done the only real diff between o ring and none o ring is life and amount of maintenance on it. for that price could pick one up at the end of each season.

What do you all think?

A standard chain is lighter and narrower but you will have to clean and lube much more frequently.

There have been questions about the quality of the Volar chain in ADVrider forums. Don't know, but for my experience I will personally stay with O-ring, since a worn chain will also wear sprockets, usually needing them changed out with a chain, since the worn sprockets will accelerate new chain wear due to the loading of the chain by the worn sprockets. Just mechanical reality of chain drive wear patterns.

I would never ride off-road without an o-ring chain. The water, mud, and dust turn non o-ring chains to junk way too quickly. I have some older street bikes that non-o-ring chains work fine on, but cleaning and chain lube are a mandatory part of the price to play.

It would work well if enough links for a 15T CS sprocket. But I think it may be too short. Great buy though. About equal to the 13/42 combination. 3.23 versus 3.21.
