RE: For all of those interested in upgrading suspension
Jerry at FSW does all of my major work on my KLX300including my suspension. A completesuspension jobisa night and day difference over stock and IMO may be the best upgrade for the KLX.It's the first thing I would do if I had a new KLX, even before power upgrades. The big advantage of the KX forks is you will have both compression and rebound adjustments. I have talked to Jerry about the swap and at this point he seems to think it won't be a huge difference over my re-worked fronts. If I was starting from stock I would maybe pursue the swap a little more.

RE: For all of those interested in upgrading suspension
I've done this conversion using a 93kx 250 front end, and it makes a big difference to the ride quality and off-road wash-out. if you take the complete front end it will fit fine but you will need to spin down and re-thread the headstock shaft at the top to allow the 25mm bearing from the klx to fit as the kx uses a 30mm, not a big job if you have access to a lathe. well worth the effort in my opinion for my 93 klxr, but mine did come with traditional forks to start with and having never ridden a more modern klx with upside downies i cant make a complete comparison.
