You are going to have to let me know how it runs with the stock, the wife is cracking the whip on me buying her a new car before I get any more things for my toys.

You're going to love the Q4. It sounds so nice

I should make a video or recording of it.

Default Leave the Snorkel On

If you ever dump your bike in more than 12" of water, you'll be glad you still had the airbox lid and snorkel. It's one more line of defense before water gets sucked into the carb. Dealing with a waterlogged bike on the trail (good idea for a new topic) is no fun. As far as jetting, Kaw parts are considerably cheaper than a Dynojet kit. My mods gave me as much power as I wanted for the $$$ spent. How much can you afford to have fun?

KDX Snorkel with Stock KLX Lid - $22.07
N1TC Needle - $15.67
Needle Clip & Collar - $3.75 w/clip set in middle groove
#125 Main Jet - $6.14
Stock Pilot Jet
Air Screw - 2.5 turns out
Carb Slide drilled out to 7/64"
Stock Muffler - Rear Baffle drilled out
Stock Air Filter

Depending on the altitude where you ride, you may want a different main jet and a different setting for the needle and air screw. An aftermarket exhaust will also affect the jetting.

Check the FAQ section. All the part #'s have been posted before many times. You could also check the OE parts finder on the Bike Bandit online store. Very helpful.

I'm running an HMF pipe with the HMF factory recommended jet settings. HMF recommends removing the air box lid. My Kawa mechanic just removed the snorkle and drilled four 1/2 holes in the lid. They advised against totally removing the lid and reasoned that no more air would enter in its modified state vs totally removing the lid.

I think I may remove it and see if I notice any difference.
