Springs and valving on the 09 suspension will probably be worlds better. I really doubt they'd just chop the suspension short like that without updating it to some degree.

 

Its a parts bin budget bike before & after. Excuse me if I dont hold my breath. Prediction. Its still an undersprung trail bike fork. (not that that's a bad thing, except for the undersprung part).

 

yeah, you say that cuz you can't get one.yep, kawasaki is gonna take 1" of travel away, redesign the exterior of the fork and pay no attention whatsoever to internals. the new bike is fresh, updated, improved, fresh, better looking. just admit it. the old one is cool too, but it's old now. stop ******* on the new one simply because you're jealous of it's improvements. it makes you look discriminatory regarding bikes, not to mention foolish to others who know the improvements to the new bike over one like yours. ps. cool Honda you got there.

okay, I'll go with that. but circa 1994 is pretty old in my book. I mean think about it, if they were still producing the same basic bike as long as they have the KLX250/300, it would have dated back to 1980 if they started it then to 1994. I agree that it's pretty cool, but parts of it look dated like the fenders and front brake system, not to mention the lighting and guages and swingarm and forks. Wouldn't you know that that is what they updated mostly as well as the tranny and spokes along with larger radiators.
btw, called my dealer to check on arrival dates and they told me it's April now.

I've been teased ever since September when the first pics came out. I haven't had the luxury of seeing one at a bike show either.

 

Well at least you've been to a bike show, living in the middle of no where the only bike show I see is when three or more KLX's get together for a ride. But I'm not complaining, like you we live in a place where it is still not affected by all the garbage that goes on in the big cities. I don't know where we rank as far as raising a family and stuff, but to be honest, I wouldn't trade what I havefor anything.

 

well, the show came to Minnecrapolis and chicago. But the dates were in February and I didn't make any plans to attend since I just figured I'd go to my dealer. Now they're saying April and now the shows are over and I've still not seen one.
