There is a threadlocker that's even "lighter" than the blue.
From the tube: "Threadlocker Green Penetrating Grade".
I use it when I'm building bicycle wheels. Gives just that extra bit of hold. It's intended for use post assembly but works fine pre-assembly as well.

You might want to try
Loctite 222MS Threadlocker is a low strength product designed for small fasteners to 1/4 inch

Great for small bolts and nuts that may have a problem releasing when disassembling.

I didn't have a vice so I put a 90 bend in the straight piece as best I could with a hammer. Then I put the twist in it to get around the radiator hose. OK for now but I will have to redo it to push the shroud out a hair more where it can potentially rub against the radiator.

Where on a bicycle wheel do you use Locktite?
