I just purchased a tank off ebay and need a petcock for it.I went to my local shop and was asked if I wanted a.

left side petcock.
right side petcock
universal petcock.

so the question is to anybody who knows,what petcock do I order.

Since the fuel supply valve is located on the left side of the bike, I would narrow my choices down to a left side or universal.

I had ordered the universal, but have not gotten either yet.

 

I ordered mine from motorsport.com it came today with the petcock. I'll check and get back to you.

The tank showed up today and took less than 45 min and no mods to mount it up.hit the gas station and managed to put in just over 14 ltrs.

That's starting to look highly tempting. Is it my imagination or is the color matching improving?

Still the best looking install is bmwhd's stock looking custom install of the clear tank but the Acerbis ultra easy install is very tempting.
