Plumbing.........your bore sizeis up 36%

I ran 4 into 4 oem pipes on an old 75z1 after I set it up with a 1200cc big bore kit. The carbs were already jetted for a 1013 kit & oem air box. Well, of course it didn't make any great power but I was just trying to put a quick 5 or 10 minutes on the new set-up.let it cool, check tourqe & all that. I switched out the pipes & put a big bore denco tricone header system on & returned to the backroads to buzz it for another session. It was like my cr500 with a passenger & I still had to fine tune it for idle to top end.

Well just got my tank and put it on the bike! The bike fired right up, so I said here we go the jetting in the 36mm is pretty darn close, I'm still running the stock pipe so I can feel it choke off a bit due to that but I'll wait for my new fmf pipe (and if it is still backordered all just build my own header). The bike lofts the front end up in the bottom 3 gears no problem. It pulls clean thru the rev range. I"m leaving for my other home on Thurs. so when I return I'll let you know how it goes.
I'm so glad I did the 340 with the pumper it's not even the same bike now.\
