300kit coming this week
Hi All,
Got the 300 kit coming this week, and have a mechanic mate ready to install, just wanting to ask about the break in, is it the same as breaking in when new or different, I pretty much used the mototune method when breaking in, so will probably do this again.. Any Thoughts..
Cheers
Chris.

Hi guys
I was thinking of a 300 kit but opted for a second bike.
By the time you mess with the 250 and spend all that cash you may as well buy a bigger bike.
I will use the KLX on smaller tight trail rides and my new DRZ400 for longer more power required rides.
Just my thoughts but it's worth considering before you spend more coin on the KLX
I love my KLX and it has it's place in my shed.

Yeah Leem thought about the klx450 but I love the nimbleness of the 250 and I think with the 300 and the dynojet kit it will be an amazing bike, considering none of this has cost me to much as I have "Contra Dealt" most of it. An advantage of being in IT and having a bike shop that needs lots of IT stuff. I probably would not have done the 300 had I had to pay full price, or the Staintune or the Bashplate etc etc.

agreed that the klx won't keep up with the drz and doing anymore than 90-100 (Kms) on dirt scares the pants off me and I much prefer riding the tight single stuff than the wide open high speed stuff.

Yeah? I'd speak to Kevin Doyle about that one if I was you.
I've got his number if you want.

The DRZ will still be quicker than the KLX no matter what you do to it.
The KLX is a great bike but it will never top a 400

It did good for almost 6k miles in swamp mud and sand until I bought a 340 kit.
