2018+ Clutch switch mod
Hey guys, new to the forum. Picked up a ‘20 camo last month and have been modding it up. I just tried to bridge the clutch switch via 16ga wire and didnt really notice any change in performance.
Does anyone have a 2018+ KLX that did the clutch switch mod and noticed any power or performance improvements? Does this mod do absolutely nothing except allow us to rev to a higher rpm while in gear? I'm still breaking it in so I'm not comfortable surpassing 7k rpms yet to test that theory.
thanks in advance for the help!

I guess the clutch switch trick fools it to thinking the clutch is pulled in?
It only disables the rpm limiter, which you are not hitting. I don't think it changes the mapping, that doesn't make any sense, it already is super lean.
If your going to run it wide open, no reason to worry about limiting it to 7000rpm.
Your going to need to get some dirt on that!

Some other people have reported actual power improvements even in low gears so I’m wondering if their claims are legitimate or just placebo
