2009 mods big-bore
Thanks for the mod help!
My 331 kit is on its way already have the full muzzy, jet kit, 13t. Now the fun begins! I am going to test with these mods then do head work, pumper carb and cams next to see what i can get out of this little bike. Oh and the smog crud is coming off. Also doing the KDX snorkle.
Thanks again for your help!
Now who has done head work i.e. polish and porting? And who is grinding cams for the klx?

Which bore kit did you go with? All of myengine and head work was done by Jerry at FSW.He did my head work which includes Kibble White stainless valves, Ti retainers and bronze intake valve seats. I believe he farms out some of the machine work. I'm not sure who does it for him.I also have Web Cam cams, Larry Roesler 101 grind. They may also do the head maching for Jerry as I think they also do head work on the KLX, just speculating. Everything makes a little difference as far as power goes. If it were me I would definitely get an FCR35 from FSW as your next engine mod. It makes a dramatic difference for the better in power delivery and throttle response.
Something to also think about is your suspension. The klx isvery out of balance as it comes from the factory. I had professional suspension work done as well, custom valving and springs, and for the off roading that I do it was as almost as good as all the engine work. A very major improvement.
Good luck.

As mentioned, Jerry at FSW is very good with the KLX. Marvin Claridge with Kustom Kraft does first class cylinder work and Luke Heaney with Luke's Racing does fantastic head work as well.
They have all done work for me. Here is a link to a story I did for Adventure Motorcycle/Dual Sport News Magazine. Marvin ran it in his online advertising for all to see. Just scroll down a bit and you'll find it.
