2009 Handguards
I just put the Rally Pro's from Acerbis on.
The throttle side is easy.
The clutch side, not so much.
The front "bracket" for the guard goes right where the brake line and the clutch cable meet, so it's a bit tight.
In the end, I ended up moving the upper round clip that is around the brake line...the one that is held on by the upper triple tree bolts. I moved it down so that only one bolt is holding the clip on.
I also put a piece of hard, smooth plastic in front of the guard, so the brake line rubs against that... so it won't wear out. So far, it's working perfect.
I'll take a photo tomorrow if anyone needs it....

As far as handguards go, I had the dealer fit a pair of Cycras on for me. Apparently they went on with minimal effort. They swapped out the bar clamps, though, because the guards came in a set that included clamps for "oversized" aftermarket bars. And you can order the plastics in a bunch of different colours, shapes, etc.

Does anyone else have any recommendations for the '09, and photos?
Jeff
I ordered the U-mount Cycras straight from the factory this morning. Anyone know the difference between the U-mount and the triple-clamp mount? The salesperson on the other end recommended the U-mount.
