2007 KLX 250s mods

If you plan on doing ANY offroad, I suggest a few things.
1- a skidplate is a must! the previously suggested ricochet one is awesome.
2- Hand gaurds! the stockers will die the first time you tip over, or run into a tree. not good if you fingers are there!!!
3- correct handle bar height. be it bar risers or new bars, but if you can't stand, this 300LB monster will be impossible to throw around.
I also have a 07 that pulls double duty commuting and weekend offroading.

Just an update on my new ride after 200 miles
1-originally worried about the height. Actually ends up that lowering links were not needed as i feel comfortable with it being stock
2-seat has been comfortable on daily commute about 30 miles each way
3-I am still getting use to gas and when to fill up, when to click it into reserve. On I-10 today and bike died due to needing to be in reserve. I kind of figure about 60 miles and then put it in reserve so that doesn't happen again. May need to think about a larger tank, that was very disconcerting.
4-also realize that the stock power is not enough for the freeway so it will remain in the garage and i will take the v-strom on my rides in. I kind of thought that would be the outcome but thought i would give it a go a few times.
5-love the ride though,, so light and maneuverable.
6-so after a short period of time i am on the fence about keeping and adding additional mods to boost the power, or selling and looking at something a bit bigger.
But i have lots of great advice if i decide to keep and mod a bit so thanks to all the great feedback.
Have a Merry Christmas
