Default 2001 EFi model - airbox mods

Hey, new member here.

Recently got a 2011 Efi 250s which is basically stock. I'm reading about removing snorkels/air box lids and re-jetting for the carb models. So for the EFi version, once you alter the airbox, can I assume that nothing else needs to be done to alter the air/fuel mix? Cheers

Go onto ebay an order a 02 eliminator & by-pass the sensor. The eliminator will trick the ecu into running at maximum allowed richness. Then you can take off the snorkel or open up the airbox a little more & not worry about the bike running lean. If you still want a richer air/fuel mix or more control over your MAP then buy a EJK FUEL CONTROLLER BY DOBECK PERFORMANCE btw this comes with 02 eliminator by-pass in the box.

Thanks Joel. Will give the O2 eliminator a try.
As a member wrote elsewhere (below), as there are various options on what to do with the airbox, would the O2 eliminator cover all or is that what you'd need the EJK fuel controller for?

"You must choose your airbox config first. Lidless (max power potential), lid w/o snorkel (Good power potential) , or lid with KDX snorkel (power potential a bit better than using the stock snorkel). Please note - A "max performance" carb setup for a lidless airbox will not function with a lid - when you choose lidless, you put your lid and snorkel in the attic.
After this choice is made, there are more to follow.."

If you can afford it buy an EJK as it will make your bike more adjustable for a race pipe or an airbox with the lid completely removed to make max power for example. If your running a normalish aftermarket pipe & only removing or putting in a bigger snorkel then just a 02 eliminator will be fine IMHO.

Thanks. What's a decent aftermarket exhaust, the FMF Q4 (+ megabomb?)? Do you know any distributors in Thailand or Malaysia? (I'm actually driving up to Hat Yai next weekend if you know of any place there. Malaysia seems quite limited for parts)
