Eric, have you jumped on the Vortex bandwagon yet? Combine that with the 13/42 and you get real nice low end snap. Unless you have limber wrists and can crack the stock one WOT without repositioning your hand it makes a noticeable difference, and its only $40.

Hey chris, do you need the clutch to wheelie with the 13t?
big time, and even then it's nearly impossible. it won't give you more power, just better low-end response, that's it. I'm finding the same scenario with my '09 as my '06 had- tire spin. A lot of traction is lost with the stock tires. I see some 606's in the future.
I disagree.... its not huge, but you can notice it.... just like alot of mods that i have done from suggestions on here. IMO i feel alot of the mods are made out to be better than they really are, i was disappointed with quite a few of the mods... the biggest gain that i could feel was exhaust. The jetting and gearing were not a huge increase IMO. I ran 13-42 for like 7000 miles, and just switched over to 13-45, and its not even that much more noticable... it does go a little better and i can get the front up easier, but its not huge. just my opinion.
dude, what did you disagree with? sounded like you agreed with what I said. I never said it was a "huge" mod, just that it gave you better low-end response which it does noticeably.

And I agree with you on that vortex throttle, whata waste of money. That's like buying a more comfortable handle for your favorite coffee mug- does the same thing as the old one does, some just claim it's more effective at getting the mug to your mouth faster and more comfortably.

cool, I didn't want the wrong impression to go out.
imo, it's a great, quick and cheap mod but nothing like the exhaust will add.

Eric, or me? Because it appears we share the same opinion of the vortex. Or are you just too much of a woman to say that to Eric?
KLXer, you're so starved for attention on here it's downright ridiculous. Go get laid for pete's sake if that's possible. Maybe you'll be less angry at the world.[:@]

Your both wrong, but just your the idiot.

You like reading about stuff over first hand experience right? Go pickup the latest issue of cycle world. The test a throttle with variable cam pullies to TAME the output of a CRF 450. Some thing but in reverse applies to the KLX, it comes tame & goes the other way.
