Consider stainless steel safety wire wrap at each end, maybe one in the middle. Like going handlebar grips.

Though I actually haven't ridden it since this little mod, I think it'd work best if allowed to be in place a bit loose so there's less chance for direct heat transfer.

As long as it doesn't fall off!

I just don't see an appreciable amount of heat being absorbed by the coolant hose across that distance, but sometimes we "fix" things just so they don't keep us up at night. I know I do!
