Default 12 Tooth for an '09

Can anybody tell me wear I can get a 12 tooth front sprocket for my 2009 KLX 250s. A Canadian source would be preferred.

Thanks

I have a 12 on my bike that came with it. Seems the PO said some thing about a 300 sprocket. The book don't show a 12 for 08[09] and up. I am going to order a 12/300 and see what shows up.

Any one done this yet?

Switching from 14 to 13 didn't seem to do a whole lot, but it certainly does make more noise. I wonder how much smaller you can get before the chain is wrapped too tight.

I believe my buddy's XR250 (The Mule) has an 11.
Seems pretty small to me, which is why I went with a larger rear sprocket. But that also required a longer chain so a few bucks were spent.

I also went the route of a larger rear sprocket, for fear that a smaller front one makes the chain contacting more the plastic slides at the front of the swingarm, when the suspension is compressed or extended.

I know many people run a 13 teeth front and don't have problems, yet I remember one case on this forum where the chain did eat grooves into the swingarm in front of the pivot point (that was NeilAction who reported this). Thus a 12, or worse a 11, could make this happen more rapidly
