I agree with this, most people with the 351 say the power is down low.

I think we are talking about the KLX power delivery as delivered. Stock power peaks around 8k, 351 peaks lower. 331 power curve stays closer to stock delivery (Mid-High Rpm as applied to the KLX). Some like it low and grunty and some prefer to use more RPM's.

And as to a WR Maverick, i don't see the sense in paying twice as much $ for a 3-4 hp increase over a jetted klx. to even get 30 hp out of a WR will cost you close to $10K with the cost of the bike figured in. A bored, cam'ed, pipe'd and carb'd KLX can get you dangerously close to 35hp at the wheel for a little over half that.
