The two big washers that came with your exhaust pipe are for when you run your bike without the quiet core you install one washer to take up the space, and when you run without the spark arrestor you install the other one to take up the space.
There is no gasket on the exhaust outlet of the barrel that I saw. You mentioned that your air box is getting hot?

Btw you got a good seal on the connections on either side of the carb and the carb itself right? Vent holes are clear?

Hey je2000, those big washers that came with the muzzy is just to keep the silencer from rattling when you remove the spark arrestor. You put it in between the end cap and the silencer.

Hey redpillar beat me into it! Anyways, your airbox shouldnt be touching your headpipe! Mine was at first but then I loosened up the header bolts and removed the springs and I twisted the head pipe until there was clearance! Hope that helps!

Damn this thread is all over the place....funny stuff.

I only checked the last two pages of this thread, but if ya'll are talking about muzzy fit-ment just grab your pipe bender and put a lil tweak in the section by your footpeg and then one more just a little down stream....no problems. Good footpeg and the rest is good to go.

If you gotta bend the damn thing thats sad. These things cost 3 arms and a leg. They oughta wash your friggen dishes and drive your kids to school for what you pay for them. I don't care how much R&D goes into it, $500 for a piece of pipe and a can is overpriced. If I had some of my old tools back in my shop form when I had my old business I could make a system. I saw where a guy either on here or at thumper talk made his own headpipe and put a supertrap can on. Did a nice job too.
