Oh yeah, it would carry plenty of that. The guy that makes them says it practically turns the little KLX into a tote goat...bolts to the foot peg mounts, seat rail and top of rear subframe makingmaking that whole area super-strong. Hehunts big game and hashauled out killsusing thatrack with no problems.

Where would something like this rack be superior to a Dirt-Bagz system with the duffel bag across the back?

I'm seriously thinking about "panniers" from Dirt-Bagz for everyday convenience with the duffel bag for grocery days. Hmmm ..... the rack would be good for a case of apples from the market .....

It would be good for adventure riding/camping. It would also be good if your girl friend has a huge **** on her that needs the extra support.

Most of us would be fine with what you just mentioned.

The rack would come-in handy if you plan on hauling a fair amount bulk or weight and don't want to be scrunched-up against the gas tank. It aslo provides a stable, flat platformfor of all sorts of things as well as providing an easy anchor point for bungees or ratchet straps. I imagine it could handle the largest Givitop case easily...although that would look pretty darn funny...[8D]It would also hanle the Acerbis Aux tank without fear of breaking the rear subframe.

Anyway, to each his own, but I thought I'd post what is currently the only rear rack offered for the 09 KLX.

Thanks - bookmarked that website! I have always been a packrat and many years ago did lots of overnighters up into the mountains on sheep hunting trips, flyfishing, etc. This might just be the cat's *** for stuff like that.
