Going to install kickstarter on my 09. Have read I will need to change the footpeg mount. Any ideas on where to get one? Simple change?

I don't think you need to relocate the peg. do a search I know several threads covered the install.

 

i think you need an 06-07 peg mount according to people who have done the kicker on 09+.

 

I have an 09 with kicker and have replaced the peg mount a couple of times. The OEM 09 mount will NOT work, you need the old 06-07 mount which provides clearance for the kicker to rotate down past horizontal. In a pinch, you can use the 09 peg mount but your ability to use the kicker is cut way down. They both bolt right up to the 09 frame.

I had to replace the peg mount because I ride trails and desert, sometimes fast, and the rocks or stumps can reach up and grab that peg mount. It bends easy and I am not heavy, 165#.

 

Thanks high beam, where have you got the mounts?

 

Pretty sure KLX300 and I know KLX650R peg will work (I just mounted one).
