I've been playing with the AF screw in different positions. (Between 2-3 turns out) It seems my bike prefers closer to 2, I'm currently at 2.25 and I think I'll go back to 2. Very crisp on the bottom, no surging, lagging, feels like more power under 5k rpm, and no throttle to WOT is strong, no bog, instant power. Only downside is decel pop is louder. At 3 turns out I was getting minor flat spots and some surging at lower RPMs and throttle positions. At 3 turns out decel pop sounded rich, very gurgley and a rich exhaust smell.

Stay tuned, me and wifey(and the mutts) are going to recover the xr I found tomorrow, we will drop it off at the cop shop...we are hiking in, and I will attemp to bring her down...if it is still there, if not me and the wife may make whoopie!!!

Oh hey, I noticed on your sig you are using +2 cables, do you have a part number for these? I've been searching with no luck. I run a similar setup as you and longer cables would give me some peace of mind. Cheers

Sorry no part numbers, I got them second hand from a member here.
Try Motion Pro, quite a few here have gotten longer cables from MP so they should have it dialed by now.

Did you have the wifey hiking in MC boots?

The KLX300 clutch cable is reportedly 2-inches longer than the 2009+ cable. I found the KLX300 cable to be about 1-inch shorter than my stock 2006 cable.

What's with the water hose attached to the rear linkage ?

Your running a full load of water in your linkage - ingenious! The Matty Mod !
