Default 0-60 mph - How long

How long it take to a KLX to accelerate to 60 mph? I know it won't be like my GSX-R600 but will it be enough to accelerate safely in traffic?

My 50 cc Peugeot will embarrass most cars from the lights, for the first 100 feet anyway.
You've got no worries mate.

It depends how well you can keep the front wheel down and the rear tire from breaking loose with all of the power the stock KLX puts out.

Seriously, I'd imagine in the 7-8 second range, but I could be wrong. I don't think merging onto the highway is an issue. It's more about having reserve power at 60mph when you need it, and most 250-class machines have little-to-no reserve power at that speed.

The way most people drive around here a 80cc scooter could stay in front of most traffic. Lots of old farts doing 10 under the speed limit.

It really depends on what type of traffic you're merging into. I have no problem merging into traffic in a 55 MPH zone. I steer clear away from the Washington D.C. beltway however as anyone doing only 55 MPH there is a danger to the public.
