I would guess the 48's. Go to motopro's website and it will calculate what springs you need based on your weight and riding style. It told me to get 42's, but I got a great deal on some 44's off a member here. Honestly I think they could still be a touch stiffer. I cant remmeber the exact figures I put in the calculator, but I'm about 170#

And shock spring 6.4 (stock is 5.8). I'd recommend you call, though. They may recommend something stiffer, or lighter, after talking with you.

Well it turned out that you were right......In preparing for my Oregon trip, I saw that there was a pretty large cut/tear in the tube. You called it man. I guess sitting in the garage and watching the travel is not the same as on the trail, which leads me to the inescapable conclusion that you are also right on the springs mod.....dang I hate when you are right. Now I could have pretended that nothing happened, but I would have known and I wanted to throw you a bone.........in a non broke back way of course.

Ha ha, there are no bounds to my wisdom, for those who aren't too blind to see it. The fact that you recognize that means there is hope for you.

You just need to forget everything you think you know, and listen to me for here on out, OK? We'll get you on the right track and even though life is pretty good right now, there's nothing that says it can't be even better, right? Right. I see you are eyeing up an iPhone now too, after finally using one yourself. As you may recall from a year or so ago, I called that one, too. As you said, it makes that clunky blackberry seem like an old rotary phone. So after you take care of the tube on the fork, springs on the bike, get the sag set properly, big bore, FCR pumper, replace that blackberry with an iPhone, the next and final step to the transformation will be replacing your PC with a Mac. After all, it is the perfect iPhone accessory.

All the above nuggets of wisdom and advice were free and on the house. Hereafter I will charge $2.99 for each nugget my accumulated years of wisdom and experience. Paypal only. By appt only. No loitering. Shirt and shoes required. All sales final. No returns or exchanges. Thanks and stop by again soon. Have a nice day.

Epic fail Gonna try it again. Heading down to Oregon in 2 weeks to go riding for 3-4 days out in the desert, maybe I'll sweat off some weight. That ride report will make this one seem like a trip to the store. Stay tuned....

Taking:

GPS
Water
Food
Camper with DVD player
lots and lots of gas
beef jerky
TP
and of course lots of tools, tubes and batteries. Am I forgetting anything else?

Oh yea my gun duh! LOL

I can take it, after all I'm so used to eating humble pie around here that I'm always full.
