2004 Kickstart tear down

2004 Kickstart tear down

My 2004 Klr 250's Kickstart started slipping the other day and after checking the spline I assume the spring in the shaft is worn. Does anyone have a write up of the tear down and steps required? Thank you in advance!

My 89 won’t engage good either. Have to go half way until it engages than finish the kick. Hope you get some answers
