I have a really clean 1984 KX 250. the kicker goes down but won't return. I assumed the spring must be broken . I took the clutch cover off and I could tell some one had been there before me, no sticking gasket, bolts not very tight. Anyway the kick shaft assembly came out with the cover and the shaft assembly fell on to the floor. The spring was not broken and nothing appears to be damaged. I was not able to see it all together. I do have a NOS kicker shaft/spring assembly. How does it go together?. Does the spring need any sort of pe wind? What is the correct way to install it.
