Klx140BF carburator tuning with new jets
Hello! I've been trying to tune my carburator on my 2009 Klx140BF for a few days with little success. I put on a 40 Pilot jet and I ordered an array of Main jets sizes 100-115. I heard that a 105 Main jet works well with it, so I tried it but I can't seem to get the tuning right. I did a bit more research afterwards and some said to try a 100 Main jet, which is what I have on now. The problem I've been having is that when in 5th gear, I'll hit the throttle and it hesitates for second then goes. It only seems to start doing it once it is warmed up. I've tried following a guide online to tune the air mixture screw (The D shaped one) and am still getting the hesitation in 5th. I came here to ask if anyone has any recommendations of what size Main jet I should put on, or if I should put the stock 95 back on, and also what I can do to stop the hesitation in 5th (I've only started getting it once I put on the 100 and 105 main jets) So I assume it's happening because the engine isn't getting enough air, but am still unsure.
Thanks in advance!
