no first gear

Default no first gear

the mule was partially under water. engine runs fine, just no first gear, is there a shift solinoid that could have been shorted, everything else seems to be functioning properly. gas motor, 4 wheel drive 52 hours on it. please help

The Multiuse Utiltylight equipment (mule) uses a CV Transmission there are no gears there for no main gears and counter gears,on the mule only a drive, driven pulley and a Gilmer style belt can be found

Check the CV plastic cover at the left side of the engine, if water penetrate to the CV the belt will slip. Also check the tube that is connected to the CV, it should be connected and sealed between the CV cover and the rollover tube.
