zzr 250 idling to high
Gday i have a zzr 250 and it seems to idle alrigt for a few seconds and then it just picks up to 3000rpm i dont known why it is doing this my mate seems to think it is a vacum line of some where and my other mate seems to think it is the choke sticking can some one help me out before i go nuts
Is this on a hot engine?
If so, look for air leaks - the vacum line is one possible source.
If it's only on a cold engine until you take the choke off, check the choke action, but otherwise odd idles while the motor's cold don't really mastter too much as long as it's OK when it's warmed up.

Welcome to the forums, chris. +1^ on William's comments. How long does the higher rev last? If it drops to normal when the engine gets warmed, I wouldn't worry too much.
Glad to have you aboard.
Gear up; stay safe.
