99 zx-6r idling question.
Hi everyone.
I am new to the forums and I am looking for some opinions. Irecently purchaseda 99 ZX-6R and brought it in for a full tune-up/carb cleaning. One of the reasons I brought it in was for the idle being slightly erratic. I got it back a couple of days ago and noticed that the erratic idling is still there. The mechanic says its normal but I just wanted to get some of your opinions. Basically, the RPM needle seems to dance around slightly when I am stopped. It doesn't move around too much...around a 100-300 RPM fluctuation. The reason this concerns me is that I am used to my car where the needlenever seems to fluctuate like this. Granted, its a big V6 so I understand we are talking about two different animals but I really want to put my mind to rest which is why I am asking for opinions.
I also want to mention that besides this, the bikeseems to berunning fine although I do seem to have a hard time starting it when its cold (not used to a manual choke I guess).
Thanks in advance, your opinions/thoughts are really appreciated.
