My 636 wont start! It was sitting for about a week and a half. I had it jumped by a road side assitance truck last night and it turned over fine...I woke up today and took it for a small drive and it turned over fine....Now I tried to start the bike and unfortunaltey it would not start. So my friend and I tried jumping it and the digital speedometer wont doesnt even have a display...This bike has no electricity going into it! what could be the plroblem? The bike is brand new. Any suggestions

 

ok so i just figured out I had the fuse blown....so I replaced the fuse with the spare and tried to jump it again with his car and the fuse had blown once again. I wondering how to jump start the bike w/o blowing the fuse

 

can you push start it? that has worked on my friend's bike.

 

, use your head, ok ok think of a fuse as a idiot light ok BLINK it just went off, so the fuse is telling you to stop doing that it hurts the bike since fuses cant talk, it just gives up, Ie blows, stop jumping the bike off of a car charge that beast, yeah bump start it

 

get a new battery

 

Replace the battery. If you replaced the fuse and still need to jump from a charger, that's telling you something.
Now, if you replace the battery and it still blows the fuse, you likely have a dead short, or a bad groundsomewhere.
1. Replace battery.Give it a nice, long,low-amp charge, if it's not a gel-cell. (Showing my age, sorry.)
2. Double-check the wiringafter installing the battery, even if that does the trick! Roadside assistance is no picnic.

 

At what amps did the road side assistance give you? jumpered off of the vehicle itself?
