zx6 lost power wont start?

zx6 lost power wont start?
I have a 1990 zx6 always well taken care of and babied. was out riding and she lost power and shut off. tried to start a couple of time but nothing. can anyone help not sure where to start.

"Lost power and shut off." Begin there; will the starter turn over? Do you have spark? Do you have fuel in the cylinders? Main fuse? "Run-Off" switch in the "Run" position? Key "on?" Headlight(s) work? Give us the details as to what "nothing" means....
