Hello I have a tuning issue and have tried everything I can think of maybe somebody on here can help. I have a 1990 ZX7 The bike idles low when I try to set the idle with the screw the bike will not idle down after I give it fuel idles around 700 rpm but does not die Also at cruising speed the bike seems to sputter unless I am in top gear and the rpm is about 2000 then it does fine. Under hard acceleration in the upper rpm range the bike misses and cracks out The bike has a slip on and dyno jet stage one kit was on it when I got the bike. mixture screws are 2 1/2 out have tried 2 3/4 not any better and 1 3/4 still no change have no vaccum leaks any help would be great

 

Where are the clips set on your needles? My stage one kit says clips should be placed on the 3rd space counting down from the top of the needle. AF screws set to 1.5 turns out.

 

Everything was set to jet kit instructions It ran fine for awhile. I tried to chase the cause and seems to started exspecially on the top end when I ran some Cam 2 fuel about 50/50 mix with super unleaded is it possible that is messing with fuel mixture? I have not put straight super unleaded in it yet. New air filter and fuel filter was installed seemed to help a very little bit

Are the floats set and the cv's synched?
