vulcan 800 backfire thru carb
Any ideas why my bike is backfiring thru the carb? Its a 02 vulcan 800A, it runs well and only seems to do this for the first few minutes of riding and only at lower rpms (1000-2000). Timing? Needs new plugs? I have about 4200 miles on the bike.
your timimng is set from the factory and is non adjustable with out an advancer plate. I doubt one is made for the vulcan 800.
Has the bike sat for any time ? Sounds like a posiable pluged idle/pilot circut in the carb . Also is that model the Hydrolic valves
that require almost no matince like the vulcan 750 ? If not has the bike had the valves adjusted ?
I will cheak back tomorrow .
