Default vn1500d timing

I have a 1997 Vulcan 1500 classic that is backfiring into the carb. The only thing that I can figure is that the timing is off. I try to do everything myself, 1. to learn and 2. because the only place that works on bikes near me is a kawasaki dealer and they charge WAY too much. So I am hoping that someone somewhere can either tell my how to adjust the timing or can point my to a site or online video that will help it would be greatly appreciated. You can email me directly at infantry.doc125@gmail.com

Welcome to KF

Not sure on a pdf for that ride but you can order the hardcopy on ebay if you are not in a huge hurry. I agree, learn your ride by doing it yourself. Just make sure that you have the proper tools to begin with.
