Default Throttle sticking

Hey guys i am new to the forum looks like a sweet place.

Well I have a 2003 Zx-6r my throttle is sticking i have taken them off of the twist grip and lubed them and the put them back on and it is still doing it. I noticed that there is a spring down by the throttle bodies and i dont know if that would need to be replaced to make it not stick. it seems like it opens and really smooth and everything it just wont close all the way. I have also looked into buying new cables for it but i wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem before. Thanks for looking

Try disconnecting the cables to make sure its not binding in the carb linkage. If carbs open and close properly with the cables disconnected then you can probably get away with just lubing the cables. Let us know what you find.

Welcome to KF!

Double check your new grips. They will drag on the housing if pushed on too far.making a tech nighmare on release. Pull them back just abit and check. Good luck.

edit: I could be way off line here.
