throttle sticking

what could cause my throttle to stick? i really havent looked at it im sure i could figure it out if i took the time but when i twist the throttle it will stay engaged until i physically untwist it... maybe just grime under it?

Is it just the grip or is the throttle on the carb not rotating back as well? My grip is slow to get back by it self but the actual throttle on the carb swings back quickly.

I had something similar. I did inspect the throttle housing, and lubed the cable with 3&1 oil. That solved the issue for me. Appears that the cable was not sliding all that great in the housing.

the throttle is wide open as well until i push the grip back forward

Sounds like the throttle cable needs to be lubed. You can find a "Cable Luber" at most motorcycle shops. It will make lubing the cable easier. It is small and you need to get lube too. I use chain lube. If that doesnt work then check the carbs, buut that should do the trick
